How to set up and use email on the Nokia N900

Setting up and using your regular email accounts on the Nokia N900

The Nokia N900 is a powerfully featured smartphone, running on the Maemo platform, that offers high class communications options for users. With a slide out Qwerty keyboard built in, it's also great for typing out messages, composing and reading emails and managing your regular email accounts.

The N900 is geared up to deliver a fine email experience. It has a Set Up Wizard that guides you through creating new email accounts in a few seconds, with a variety of settings for popular email services providers pre-loaded.

In addition, the N900 can be used to handle corporate push email, with Mail For Exchange and Lotus Notes Traveler support within the email set up options.

Once set up, you can manage multiple email accounts directly from the desktop. Using and managing email is easy too - following familiar desktop style conventions that mobile users should find intuitive.

Here's how to set up email on the Nokia N900...

Setting up email

  1. On the homescreen, press the email @ icon shortcut.
  2. Alternatively, on the homescreen press the Application Menu button in the top left hand corner (it's the one illustrated with six squares). In the Applications Menu, press the Email icon.
